I had my first experienced the virtual world in 1991, when I was a PhD student working in NASA’s Virtual Reality Laboratory. I used various early VR systems to simulate the distance between the eyes (that is, the distance between the eyes) and optimize the depth perception in the software.

Although I am a big believer in the potential of virtual reality, I find this experience a bit tragic. Not because of the low fidelity, because I know it will improve steadily, but because of the limited and claustrophobic feeling of wearing the diving mask on my face for a long time.
