As part of the first edition of the World A.I. Cannes Festival (WAICF), a world fair dedicated to Artificial Intelligence organized in Cannes from April 14 to 16, 2022, the City of Cannes has set up an entertainment program for the general public allowing the latter to discover or deepen their knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, in a fun atmosphere.
One of the flagship activities of this WAICF off program was the organization of the “IA Challenge” treasure hunt in partnership with Cannes merchants.
The City of Cannes has entrusted the Compagnie des rêves éveillé (The Lucid Dreams Company) with the creation of this treasure hunt using its solutions for creating immersive experiences (XR+ studio) and geolocation (XR+ Map).
Accessible in one click, by scanning a simple QR Code, the entire experience was available on all types of phones, without having to download a mobile application.
More than 100 merchants from Cannes participated in the IA Challenge treasure hunt by offering prizes, more than a hundred Augmented Reality experiences were created using videos of actors generated by Artificial Intelligence to ask the quiz questions.
The game brought together many participants on Friday April 15 and Saturday April 16, who traveled around the city using a dynamic map positioning partner merchants and answered puzzles related to Artificial Intelligence to earn points in a fun and immersive way.
Participants who solved at least 20 puzzles were eligible for the draw to win the prizes offered by Cannes merchants, the results of which were announced on April 16 at the Cannes Tourist Office.
