As brands and consumers seek to return to the physical retail space after Covid-19, technologies that enable e-commerce to fill gaps when stores close will play a vital role in the recovery of physical retail. Shoppers, especially shoppers in the UK, want an “connected shopping” experience.

The pandemic has clearly hit the streets of the UK, but shoppers are ready to return, especially if the convenience of online shopping is combined with a rich in-store experience. Approximately 40% of UK shoppers use mobile devices in stores to find more information about products. Gen X shoppers say they will use Augmented Reality (AR) for shopping in the next five years, a significant increase (80%).
