Immersive ad formats like AR are still promising, although they are mostly still in the early stages of adoption among brand marketers.

We are talking about ad formats that use cameras (Gen-Z friendly) to provide 3D interactivity, such as virtual trying on shoes or lipsticks.

This includes social lens (the most popular format by far) and visual search. For the latter, Google is creating a “search what you see” use case to point your phone to an object for contextualization or purchase. As we studied earlier this week, Pinterest is not far behind.
